General Information:

Wheelbase for the Standard Eight were increased 1 inch this year due to the redesigned water pump, now with twin fan belts. The engine thermostat was eliminated, thermostatically controlled radiator shutters taking over temperature control. Horsepower was up to 90, the new carburetor was an updraft Detroit Lubricator, and the transmission now a four-speed with the addition of an extra low gear. The Hood of the Standard Eight featured louvered vents as previously, though an accessory hood with three louver doors was available. A single body style was offered in the 127-1/2-inch wheelbase Model 726, and it was the five-passenger sedan. All other body styles were on the longer 134-1/2-inch wheelbase Model 733.
