Photographed at the Packard plant, Warren, Ohio plant with two-story wooden building in the background. This was the first 4-cylinder car that Packard made, cost $7000, were approximately 7 built and the Gray Wolf used this engine. Inscribed on photo back; 1-cylinder, 12-horsepower, 88-inch wheelbase, 2-person roadster 'Old Pacific.' 'Tom Fetch's visit and 'Old Pacific.' Second from left, Frank H. McKinney, director of advertising & sales promotion. This model participated in the transcontinental crossing June 20th thru August 21st, 1903 from San Francisco to New York, driver was E.T. (Tom) Fetch, passenger/photographer Marius C. Krarup editor of The Automobile, rear deck passenger (Reno to Colorado Springs only), N.O. Allyn and in the First Annual Endurance Contest of the NAAM from New York to Pittsburgh 7-15th of October, 1903 as contestant #16 class D, driver E.T. Fetch and observer C.H. Lowe.
