This is a new (to us) shot of the Briggs manufacturing plant, which was built to manufacture aircraft parts for WWII. Briggs later moved Packard auto body production there, and (as you probably know) Packard moved final assembly there for the 1955-'56 model years.

This photo is from the Wayne State Universtity's Virtual Motor City collection.
