Crowds were awestruck by the Packard Predictor dream car as it revolved on a turntable during the 1956 Chicago Auto Show. Painted pearlescent white, the ultra-modern two-door hardtop featured hidden headlights, wrap around and wrap over windshield, retractable roof panels, see-through tail fins, and exhaust ports in the rear bumper. Predictor was equipped with torsion-level suspension, a 300 horsepower, 374 cubic inch Packard V-8, and an Ultra-matic transmission with electronic push-button control. Though only 4.6 ft. high, Predictor was 18.5 ft long.

The livery on the 1920 Packard truck reads: "Water pipe shop - Huber" (plumber shop in todays language). As can be seen this truck is running by burning wood on the round "oven" behind the cab, installed on the vehicles during war times).
This truck has been in use in 1940 and likely during the whole "Winter War" - a military conflict between the Soviet Union and Finland. Like the old men, some old trucks could do their service at the home line, when the young ones were "somewhere far". This truck was playing its part for the water services of Helsinki, where the bombings had caused damage.

"General Douglas MacArthur was inspecting the U.S. Army's 1st Cavalry Division shortly before the division was sent to New Guinea in January, 1944. The two stars on the front of the Packard vehicle indicate that it was assigned to a Major General and the four star flag on the front bonnet show that MacArthur was a passenger."

1949 Packard convertible / CNE Autoshow display

"This was taken at the Canadian National Exhibition at the Toronto Auto Show by the late Dr. Ames. This Kodachome captures the stand with the 1949 convertible and what I think is a 1901 Packard Model C. Packard painted a run of 2,000 Packard in custom gold paint. This photo proves that at least one convertible was painted gold."
