Re: Anyone know a source for the chintzy original duct hose 1941-47 Clippers?

Bless you, Watson. In my opening appeal, i mention

"Don't want some shiny rubbery/vinyl ducting."

M. Solberg suggests same. OliveOil instructs me how to use the Internet.

Surely there is someone w/ a 1941-47 Clipper having "the heater air supply duct setup option PA-377704" Monsignor Hanson HH56 describes, per the photos this consumate gentleman and fount of information so many of us take for granted posted.

3" version of the below wanted. If anyone has or knows, hallelujah. If not, c'est la vie.

Cheers,

Holmes:

Is it possible for the Pawl to "disappear" in an R-9a in a 40-160?
...trying to diagnose inoperative OD - removed and tested the solenoid, and one observer said he couldn't see the Pawl??

Chris - I really should come down and take a look at what you have. A lot of your parts wouldn't fit my '54 Clipper but maybe some would. Maybe some of the chrome bumper trim. Is the windshield clear or green tint? Any chance you have a front bumper in halfway decent condition? It's not hard for it to be better than my current one in every measurable way.

Battery isolation switch
Quite a regular
Quite a regular

1 have a 1928 Packard 526. It has the battery box on the right hand side, next to the front fender. I believe this was standard on Single Sixes and Eights during the ‘20s and 1930, except for those cars with sidemounts.

I would like to mount a battery cutout switch, but am undecided where best to put it. I would really appreciate it if those of you who have installed battery switches on these model cars would describe where you located yours and discuss your satisfaction with the result. If you can provide a picture, that would be even better.

Thanks for your help. It is much appreciated.

Yeah, because no one here would have thought of any of those things unaided . . . .

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.
