Re: No theft id number

Packard Don
Some years had a decal and I’ve seen other 1940s without the anti-theft number too. I owned three but that was back in the ‘60s for two of them and I never paid any attention whether they had it or not even on the one I owned for decades.

If it slid forward it would be easy to steal! Anyway, I always thought that the way these were attached was rather ingenious in the simplicity.

53 Cavalier
For heavy rust stains, like where metal was contacting fabric, I used Didi Seven without diluting it and put it directly and only on the stain. The longer you leave it the more stain it will remove, but it will also remove any colour out of the fabric, which is okay, you just have to do a little dyeing to get the colour back.

For lighter staining, rust or otherwise, I diluted some Didi Seven with water in a spray bottle for more even application. It takes a bit of experimenting, which I recommend doing. It is safe for fabric so leaving it on for an extended period of time for heavy staining seems to be okay.

I tried several other products on rust stains with very little success.

Typical for 1940 vehicles. What is the VIN?

Would it be possible to make it where people can edit or delete their own entries? At least for say 7 days like forum posts?
