Yup, I guess another one for the X-Files. I will file it between Bigfoot and Nessie!

Howard, I always assumed they snapped on similar to how beauty rings mount.

It is unfortunate that in life people are quick to complain, but slow to praise.

I think there are excellent vendors out there, but few people take the time to sing their praises when they have good service. So if you have good service from a Packard vendor please be sure to let us all know. I take word of mouth on good service very highly when I am choosing a vendor.

Also remember not everyone Bat's a 1000. We all have our good days and our share of bad days. So you have to take experiences on the aggregate.

Your going to have to get a multimeter or test light and trace the headlight wire from the fuse folder all the way up to the actual bulb. If you have a short you want to find it before it creates a fire somewhere and possible destroys your car, or your car and house.

If you find the wire chewed (like by rodents), then I would recommend you inspect the rest of the harness for other places were rodents may have chewed. Also until you get this all figured out, I would disconnect the battery, or install a battery cut-off when not in use.
