Re: Rear Engine neoprene main seal?

I have a 1941 packard straight 8 282 engine when i overhauled it i was amazed that it had no seal of any kind just a slinger integral with the crankshaft as you mention. I find it hard fo believe Packard used a rope seal on earlier engines. I wish they did because i think it is a better system than a slinger

My engine leaks a little but not too bad i wish there was way to put a neoprene sealbin but i have not heard of it, have you?

I ask a simple sincere question and you seem to think your stupid response is cute. If you can explain it why dont you try to do so instead of telling me you cant understand it for me. That is if you are smart enough to give a straight answer.

How to remove horn button from 38 Packard 12

I need to know how to remove the horn button from the steering wheel of my 38 Packard 12 Club sedan. I have been told to push in on it and rotate counter clockwise. I have tried both clockwise and counter clockwise and it will not release. there are not any screws holding it in place like my 41 has.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a call in to the company who rebuilt my gauges about cost of rebuilding my sending unit for my 38 Packard 12. Their name is Williamsons Instruments, are in Chester, AR,
Phone is 479 369 2551. The name of the owner is Ron.
Will let you know what I find out.

Also shave a call in to the company you referenced. They show a different unit for 36 to 38 apackard 12. Do not know what brand is in my car

I have a 41 Packard 120 and it does not have any line running from carb to intake. I think Packard decided it was not necessary. Plug your intake manifold Hole and your Engine should run ok. You have a massive vacuum leak that must be plugged. The line running from carb to manifold could be plugged.

It has been a couple of days since I left the request for you to call me or give me your phone number so I can get more information about your headlight bezels. I am serious about buying them, but we need to communicate.
