Was keen on a Clipper: Bubba's flame wrench!

A friend was good enough to check out a V-8 Clipper for me and took a good many photos. It is a rock solid South Western car. The car has a good deal of merit but then I saw this photo.

My guess it that few of these Junior cars had dual exhaust.
Was the Clipper frame made with just one opening for the pipes? This looks to be the Driver's side.
While this may not be a structural issue, It is bound to affect it's value. ( In the event that this is not early production change...)

Your feedback will be of value!

'55 Patrician # 1

Why did somebody bother to save this car if they were not going to SAVE this car??
On the bright side, it was not stored in a lake....
Not for long, anyhow.
Maybe a guy could buy that crashed Clipper on Ebay & get some great parts -at least to get it on the road.
This one is a keeper.

"Personally, I wouldn't value the car, as a buyer, anywhere near $14K-$15K - especially when there was a gorgeous white/black 55 400 offered elsewhere on this site in recent months that had been marked down to $18K. "

Does anyone know if that car sold or is it waiting until Spring to pop up again? Think it was near Indy or OH.

Off to China with you!

Actually, the real damage was done to many of these cars by the poor storage & neglect.
Fortunately there are actually a lot of good parts cars out there.
Just think about how things would be if there had been a major scrap drive in the 70's like in WWII.

The '58 may be the epitome of Fugly but this '57 is rather handsome. At this price, it's gotta be peachy.

Did you check for a loose nut behind the wheel?

Should I end up with a Clipper with the 225 HP 320, would I be correct in assuming that boring out to a 352 would be risky at best? Could the 320 heads be run on a 352 block to raise compression or are the ports/Valves less desirable.
Just thinking out loud here, I am not lucky enough to have such a problem at this point. (hey, the year is young!)
Thanks!
