Yes Mal, I have always wanted a Veteran Twin Six to complement the 38 Barrymore Twelve. It is a lovely vehicle and I am just fettling it a bit. It has Armstrong Power Steering and takes some shoulder strength to steer. All the best to you Mal. Peter and Ann.

Hello all, I recently saw a sale listing for a catalogue of 1956 Packard options that included seat belts. Has anyone any details on this option? Has anyone actually seen these? I am very curious.

Agreed, but the 4th/5th Series 6 was a truncated 385 motor with six cylinders of the 8 cyl 385... same rods, pistons, rings, valves bearings, etc. I have a few 626 motors with side mounted pumps in the shed. I shall take a look and measure up. Also later production Sixth Series motors used a larger engine compartment and front mounted water pump.

I would call that changing a wheel. I would pay big money for a clip of Princess Elizabeth with two tyre levers and all 53 kg trying to break the bead on a WW11 military tyre. It is just not going to happen. Great photo, HRH was just a legend and sadly missed.

The 29 633 is very interesting as it has the side mounted water pump. I understand that the early 633's used the same engine bay as the 526/33 and the side mounted water pump allowed the fitment of the 320 eight in place of the 289 six. I may be incorrect, what does David M think, is this correct?

The 327 motor fits the 41 and you use the 41 front mount. No need to use the frame mounts from the 327 motor. The existing gearbox mounts are used and the X frame is already set up to take the OD trans ( R11 would be the best). It is not a very big deal to put a 327 into a 41 120. There are Service letters on this previously posted.

I would concur with David and get the Vacuum tank up and running. Even Rolls-Royce use them. This week I have had to go through the 34 P11 Autovac and with a six position fuel selector at the base of the Vacuum tank, it is not for the faint hearted. it is always handy to have an electric fuel pump but the vacuum tanks are simple and normally very reliable.

Hi Mal, You should buy my 38 Richards "hot Rod". 1954-327 bored out to 340, 9.00 to one comp, Holley 650, R6 Od. I actually broke the welds off the rear axle banjo/ spring interface during a visit to Noels when we had to "clear the intersection quickly" It goes pretty hard. I get lots of thumbs up from BMW drivers after the lights change and they have to really make an effort to get/stay in front. Yes, it is a Dinasour but it is apparently wearing Nikes.
