1938 V12 1608 Voltrage regulator

I am trying to verify a couple things on an Autolite regulator for my '38 1608.

Is it VR "B" or VR "P" 4008A?

Do they have 3 or 4 mounting holes?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am not familiar with that part, but a couple questions.

Is it magnetic?

If not what does the broken edge look like, color? grain?

Maybe a picture of the broken edges would help.

I am looking for a copy of this as it is no longer available thru the Lone Star Packard's.

Does anyone have one I can beg, borrow, copy or steal?

Thanks

Bob,

Thanks for the research. I will go get some mixed up and see how it matches up.

It is hard to tell from the color cards, but is Packard Blue darker than Centennial Blue?

It is for a 1938 Car.

Does the "INLET" side of the filter go towards the front?

Just double checking before I screw something up.

I took off the rim band and found rivets. No number stamps
