2262-9 Door Locks

Hello,

Just double checking before I pull the trigger on some replacement door locks for my deluxe 8 (2262-9). Does this description sound right:
The shafts are 5.0" long. The lock front face is 15/16" OD, and the lock barrel is 7/8" OD.

I don't remember what I did with the broken shaft and the doors are back together... just don't want to waste money on the wrong ones!

Thank you!

A siphon is good thinking, luckily my drain plug is in good shape and works well. I continued driving the car to use up more gas (and because I can't resist) and I'll probably just buy more gas cans from the store. Hopefully the next radiator shop gets the job right!

Well... thanks for the info! Looks like I'll have to find a better way to drain the tank. At least this helps me in my calculations so I don't run out of gas out on the streets! Right now the broom handle method is my gauge, though it's also an estimation largely because I'm not sure how inches of gas on the handle equates to gallons in the tank! It's a fun dynamic keeping it topped up so I don't run out but also with the goal of running it down to empty it.

Gallons per minute

Hello,

For frustrating reasons I have to drain and drop the fuel tank again on my 49 Deluxe 22nd sedan (288). What makes it more complicated is that the gas gauge isn't working, something I hope to address while the tank is off. Does anyone happen to know generally about how many gallons per minute at idle the 288 will go through? I have a 5 gallon emergency tank but I'd like to go through as much as possible to avoid unnecessary gas transfers in the driveway.

Thanks!

"5882 Carburetor" reportedly from a 28/29 in "good" condition:

1940 120 partially disassembled. Definitely ambitious project:

"Mid 50s" with ultramatic. Rough. Price is right?

"Barn Find" 2277 48 Limo, not running, looks complete and largely un-altered but stagnant. Not sure if the price includes random robin's egg blue fender in the back seat:

Hello Everyone,

Just sharing/tooting my own horn, that I successfully registered and passed inspection in Massachusetts this week! Now I have officially and legally resurrected a 49 Deluxe Sedan that was sitting since 1979! Not perfect, but runs and drives strong! Thanks all for the help, I'm still going to need it I'm sure! I've driven the car for two days now and so many people have stopped me to ask or share stories. Definitely stood out in the parking lot at work.

Lookout for me on the Metro-Boston Area roads!

55 grill assembly, you'll have to say what model it's from. Hardware included, looks to be in nice shape.

Pretty interesting bike, would you consider this a "Packard Vehicle?"
