Re: Timing spec for 1928 533 6cyl

Thank you.

I read the manual but thought I would be able to get it much tighter sync if I used my timing light.

The manual indicates to use sandpaper for the points (cleaning) I normally use a extra fine file. Suggestions?

The reason for my ask is that I sometimes get a little hesitation and possibly a backfire if I hit the accelerator too hard, too fast.

Also, from a wear POV, would fiber washers be better at "A"?

Where do the two washers go on the 'v' of the shock absorber?

Inside the 'v' next to the rubber(A) or outside next to the bolt/nut head(B)?

My car has one each.

Thanks
Gar

Looking for a suggestion on the copper vacuum lines. Also, was the copper gas line painted black?
Thanks

Hi there...What type of fluid goes into the front shocks. Per the shop manual, mine are down a bit.

ALSO, what color should the shock absorbers be? I am thinking a matte grey, similar to the intake manifold.

Thanks
Gar

I am working on a 41 120 convertible and want to get the engine vacuum tube for my power top the correct color. I just sprayed the firewall semigloss black but noticed the copper vacuum tubes were also painted black. I have seen the tubes painted either silver or black. Do you know which is correct?

Thanks
Gar

I got crazy.
These PICs are from my 1941 that I am trying to put together from pieces/parts.

(I was thinking wood framing...)

Thanks
