You can get heat shrinkable cloth loom to cover the wires. Summit Racing and McMaster both carry it. I avoid Amazon as I have used them and have gotten inferior loom.

The are several different size clips that hold the wiring harness to the frame of my 40 and 41s. All of my wiring is routed on the drivers side of the car with the exception of the passenger head/turn/running light which are run under the radiator and the passenger tail/turn/running light which runs under the trunk near the bumper.

If you need pics let me know.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for those of you that attended the Whiskey event at PPG Saturday. We had over 500 people attend this event!

All of the receipts are used to maintain and improve the PPG builds and grounds.

Jim:

Here is a pic of the equalizer.

Does you car have a trunion spring on the drivers side?

Also, my understanding is that Drv Frt brake shoes should be slightly smaller than the Pas Frt.

Good luck. It has taken me 5 years to get all of the dash parts other than the actual leather insert and trim around the insert.

If you luck out and find the leather inserts, please let me know.

Thanks

I have a 533 which has a brake equalizer, which is similar to your 640. Your front end equalizer may need some lubrication.

There are two shops in MI that I use for all of my starters and generators. ALS in Lansing and Ecourse Auto Elect in Ecourse.

Jerome:
I talked to both DB and Coker today. The nomenclature for the true modern vs modern like is a bit different. Smaller section width is better...

A 800r15 has a section width of ~8.0"
A 820r15 has a section width of ~8.2"
A 235/75r15 has a section width of ~9.4"

So, if I go with a 800r15 the tire height increases by just .5"; that will give me a narrower bulge width of ~1.4" (side to side) or ~.7" further away from the tie rod.

Looks like the 8x0 series is the way to go.

Thanks again for all of the input!
