My wife has a very unique story she needs to tell, largely to do with our Packard. Is there a special spot at all on this forum for it? Or is this not the place? She is grateful for advice.

Thanks everyone. ..I took a hollow 3 foot by half inch pipe and listened for the whistle and it was at its loudest at the exhaust to the intake block. Using the pipe I didn't get burnt... I applied muffler cement around the exhaust to intake manifold block gasket. We went for a test drive and did not hear the whistle. At higher speeds very slight engine surging seems to also be gone.
Thanks for all your help once again.

I suspect that is the area but it is making a boiling kettle whistling sound. How can you get that from a vacuum flow?

I am experiencing an intermittent loud whistle from the intake manifold area just below the base of my carburetor, between carburetor and engine block side. It's very difficult to see back there, no room even for a mirror. How is it possible to get a whistle from an intake manifold leak?

Hi guys;
I am taking this moment to thank each and every one of you for the help provided with our 1940 110 Sedan. She is on the Road...certified and runs like a charm.
It never would have been done without all of your help and advice.
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL

I'm not sure if I got the photos on here right but I tried...lol
