The first pic is of the heater control I was told this is for a 160, the second pic is of the air cleaner (from the catalogued) this is the air cleaner currently on the car, also for a 160. The third pic is the air cleaner I need (shown on a 180 Darrin). I am looking for a solid original that may need repainting but is not a rust bucket or full of dents.

On the generator of my 1940 Packard there is supposed to be a red insulator that says DO NOT REMOVE. Well since it is missing I guess someone did remove it (probably decades ago) Does anyone make this today and if so where could I get one? I have a picture showing it below its to the far right.

I was getting my voltage regular calibrated to accept a 8-volt battery rather than a six o n my 1940 180. When i went to pick it up they said I have something to show you, indeed it was a starter for a TWIN-SIX or Packard Twelve they stated it was all rebuilt and ready to go I have attached photos of the unit The tag came out a bit fuzzy but it was an Autolite MAX 4052. They would like $350 or so for it The place that has it is PRYOR auto electric company there located on 7156 Torresdale ave in Philadelphia Pa. Thier phone number is 215-338-1582

I ended up buying this car instead: 1940 Packard Custom Super 8 180. Far less $$ than the 34 and in way better shape.

Its a 7-pass sedan 1934 Super 8 I tried to buy it a number of times but the owner wants 50K even though it needs quite a bit of work. The body is solid and the engine fires up and runs strong.
