Is your car a show car or a driver. If it is a driver do yourself a favor and convert it to a 700r Bendtsen's transmission adapters specifically make a kit for the 1955-6 Packards. I've had one in my 1955 400 for about 5 years and that was the end of tranny problems with this car. Plus the car now gets great gas mileage had more pick up and is now a reliable automobile. If it is a show car replace it with a 56. If you go with the 56 twin make sure you get Ross Miller to rebuild it.

I have seen this car on Ebay for some time now. First time I saw it for sale on ebay it was 199,000, the second time they raised the price to 329,000!!!!! This car sold at the Bonhams auction in Philadelphia Pa last year the winning bid: 107,000 and yeah for that price it was a bargain! Just goes to show big ticket items=slow sellers.

One of the many stories I have heard over the years of a business being taken over the years by the son of the original owner and just not being the same.

I was looking to have some chrome mouldings replated for my car. There is a plater in my hometown (Philadelphia pa) called Frankford plating; depending on which reviews you read they are either the best players in the business or the worst I wanted to get some opinions before I take the parts to them.

I saw this Packard pipe organ on craigslist it is located in Voorhees NJ about 20 miles east of Philly, if you gpo on craigslist and go to Philadelphia Pennsylvania and put in the word Packard it will bring the ad up with many more photos. The Organ does need repair but the price is right FREE to a good home! So hopefully some Packard afficianto who also has a musical bent can take this item home. I have never seen another one.

DRIVING THRU THE GREAT STATE OF PA
#60

Yes i was driving thru the great state of Pa with its many potholed roads when I hit a particularly bad one and bent a rim on my passengers side rear. I noticed the bent rim while driving to church today, I am having AAA put the spare on. The question I have the rim is 15" in diameter will any 15"rim sufficiently replace it or must it be a Packard rim?
