We will have a 1937 Super Eight sedan for sale around summer of this coming year. Car is a complete rust-free California car. Engine is also complete. We will attempt to get it running to determine its condition.

We are using it as a parts car, but are taking very, very few parts from it. It is basically being used as a guide in putting together another car.

Sorry, I can't help in regard to what to use, but in my opinion, I think you're wasting your time on this.

If you want a really nice looking trunk on your car, purchase a different trunk. Really nice ones are usually available in the $300-$500 range,,, and if you get lucky, you might even find one with fitted luggage. I just sold two trunks at Hershey in pretty nice condition, one had fitted luggage. If I remember correctly, I sold the pair for $800.

You might want to check with Penn-Dutch Restorations in Pennsylvania. They make top bows.

Amazing how great this car's appearance improves without the running boards.

Unless there's no engine number. There's yellow paint under the red paint, so pretty sure it's a correct engine.

I found no rust. Other than mechanical peculiarities, which IMHO would need a specialist (transmission and suspension), it would be a good car for an amateur to take on. The lower quarter looks worse in the photo than it is. There must have been some minor damage at some point. It is not rust repair.

Email me if interested.

I have a lead on 1955 Caribbean #3. It is for sale, along with a cache of many, many, many parts (including many NOS). It's a good solid car, but in need of restoration. Also, the engine has been replaced with a correct unit. Supposedly the correct original engine's whereabouts is known (or, it was a few years ago).
