Hi

Thanks for sharing the photos, must have been a fun event.

Just a note: the dark green 1940 180 convertible victoria credited to Bohman & Schwartz might be one of the Darrin-style convertible victorias built by Rollson. Demand for Darrins was such that those who did not wish to wait turned to other coach builders to make a version of the styling. While those cars generally carry the Darrin styling, there are some subtle differences which this car appears to have.

West,

All good things come to an end eventually. Be forever grateful you got to experience one of Packard's finest for as long as you did. Thanks to your dad and you for being proper conservators of this 734, sharing it with the wider collector car community as much as you did.

A variety of Packards both ready to enjoy, projects and some rough parts cars.

A 1954 Pacific, ready to enjoy:
chicago.craigslist.org/nch/cto/d/napervi ... 954-packard-pacific/7770780723.html

A 1939 Six, looks good, scant information, pricy:
chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/cto/d/crown-point-1939-packard/7770121828.html

A 1951 Mayfair, rough:
roswell.craigslist.org/cto/d/whites-city ... ackard-2dr-hard-top/7767418269.html

A 1952 Patrician 400 sedan, good project start:
kalispell.craigslist.org/cto/d/fortine-1 ... ckard-patrician-400/7770218821.html

A '55 400, looks great, not inexpensive:
ventura.craigslist.org/cto/d/ventura-1955-packard-four-hundred/7769927015.html

A '55 Patrician and 400 package deal, projects or parts:
hanford.craigslist.org/cto/d/hanford-pac ... 5-patrician-touring/7767167971.html

More slim CL pickings:

A '37 120 convertible coupe, very nice condition and very pricey:
spokane.craigslist.org/cto/d/spokane-193 ... ard-120-convertible/7763013529.html

A '40 120 sedan, "Last driven in 1983" project:
stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/d/cedar-hill- ... -model-120-for-sale/7768024220.html

A '41 120 sedan, offered a long time, always the same price:
newhaven.craigslist.org/cto/d/wallingfor ... 1-packard-120-sedan/7762178350.html

The '48 Custom Eight convertible from the Abelove auctions, major project:
syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/d/syracuse-1 ... ackard-custom-eight/7768129332.html

Just an observation, Craigslist charges $5 a month for their automotive listings which include all the description the seller cares to give plus up to 24 photos and anyone can access the contact information.

Contrast that to Fb Marketplace which is free but apparently limits the text accompanied by only 10 photos maximum and one has to be signed onto Facebook to access contact information plus be 'data mined' in exchange. Thanks go to those who bring us Fb Marketplace listing for the Fb abstainer among us.

Free, even when it isn't worth much gets them in every time.

The Clipper grille is stuck in the tall hood of a postwar Flxible-Buick ambulance/hearse that has been converted to a truck. Flxible was a professional car coachbuilder in Loudonville, Ohio that had an exclusive contract with Buick much as Packard had with Henney. A hallmark of their work was to add section height to the overall build, note the height of the hood sides compared to any Buick of those years. The idea was to make the body more commodious for the ambulance applications.

"Slim" CL Packard Pickings these days...

Two 1941/'42 and '46/'47 Clipper parts cars, at least possibly good solid sheet metal:
albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/d/belen-1 ... 45-packard-clippers/7759874703.html

A '56 Clipper Super? Partially complete project, optimistically priced.
