Hi Dave,
Yes I did that on my last water pump rebuilt on the speedster and it worked fine, trying something different. Richard

I am rebuilding the water pump on my 32 Victoria and was wondering if anyone knows the seal number that replaces the packing. National, C/R, etc. number will work. Shaft size .670 and OD 1.200.
Thanks for any info. Richard

I have both clear coat and single stage paint on my 32 Victoria and you can’t tell the difference which is which unless you sand or buff it. Plus no one can look at it and say it not lacquer by its luster. I would never consider lacquer for painting any classic auto. I have never been ask by the judges what type of paint it is.
I guess it’s your car and you can paint it with anything you want but the modern paints are so much easier to use. Richard Attach file: 0D9AB6EF-9120-440F-BE04-317D90EE6D05.jpeg (98.22 KB)

Trying to find who supplied OEM paint on 32 Packard.
My guess is DuPont or Ditzler??? Thanks Richard

Dave,
Yes you are correct, I remember now, several years ago I had a 1103 Sedan and I had to take it apart and that’s the way I did it. What a pain in the butt to do it. Richard

Tried that and I believe you are right but it sure doesn’t want to come loose. Any other ideas?
Thanks, Richard

Do anyone know how to get the horn button apart on my 34 Coupe? See photo.

Well this is kind of embarrassing, after studying several photos of 32’s convertibles, I can see they are mounted upside down not like they are mounted on a closed car. 😀😀

Yes, I thought that also but the vacuum hose hooks up on one side only so you have a left and right motor. There has to be something I did to both that changed it???
Thanks
