Ignition trouble again

Moving coil off intake.

Then. Pertronics is confusing.

They say you can keep ballast. Then with their coil. Take it out.


So leaving pink Packard wire out. Jumping 12 volt from Ignition.

Talking with hh56 pretty sure my issue is the ballast..

After start up Pertronics is only getting 6 or 8 volts.



Edit..


Don't know ohms of delco coil.

Not there myself.

But my dad's 36 is apart

And from I have seen its like a regular clutch.

Just HEAVY.

I can that picture tomorrow. To show inside pressure plate.

Either the overrunning clutch is haggling up

Or the spring for shift lever popped out.


Or the solenoid is stuck..

Solenoid if in question.. napa has them.

So your shifting is ok

Then I suspect the pawl. That might be worn.

Where the roller goes.

That little thing is some type of metal..

Those holes wear.
.
So the roller hangs down.. or cocks.

Edit.

Picture. This is steel my dad made..

But this it the pawl. That locks gear.
