Great, got her running go for a test drive and now have a leak mid engine on drivers side hope it's not a head gasket

Water pump in new t stat new hoses and clamps temp seems to be ok need to check trans fluid and lights that don't work starting tomorrow

It seems like it was not in Park all the way? Moved the gear shift lever up and down couple of times and it fired up!! noticed the selector arrow stays in low on the column have to sort that out. Also have to replace the stat and water pump started to push water out of the over flow tube also got a nos rad with all of the parts thinking about swapping that out also.

Finally got it to fire up!!! now it's time for new hoses water pump and t-stat. Progress!!!

Some of the cars went over there but most of the collection stayed with the family at Marymount. If anyone is in the area the last weekend of august they have a car show and you can tour Harold's house, there is a whole room dedicated to just Packards. It's pretty impressive. The family has a bigger variety of cars from brass era to some more modern stuff.

I talked to the people running the auction yesterday. Told me they still want $2500 deposit for a bid number. mentioned the premium percentage was told its only 10% so something doesn't add up. I'm going to pass on bidding. Lemay always has 2 auctions a year. I'll wait till after this one and see what is left.

No I forgot to get the model # with the lockdown still going on the place where they are is closed. The fees for this auction are extremely high I don't think BJ or any of the other big auction houses are that high.

So I've talked to the company running the lucky auction it is on line bid only. you must have a credit card with a $2500+ credit limit to get a bidder number to bid on cars. asked them about phone bids as I don't have that high a limit. they said they would get back to me. been waiting almost a week. If you go on the lucky auction website the Packards are listed in a row with no reserve.
I have seen these cars in person. The red 4 door is the best of the bunch but the motor is frozen same as on the '55 400. The rest are also not in terrible shape. I have brought home worse than those!

So I had the carb rebuilt re installed w/ new fuel filter has the no spark issue again. It had been sitting for about 3 months or so . New points and condenser were installed last time it was running. Replace them again? Any insight would be helpful. Mike.
