Re: Master Cylinder upgrade

Guys,

After reading the posts on the forum about master cylinder failures. I have real concerns about driving my 53 Cavalier with the original braking system. (I have completely gone through and rebuilt the brake system.) Has anyone been able to adapt a dual master cylinder to the original Bendix treadle vac? I have looked through the posts and other sites and haven't seen anything. My car stops fine for the way I drive it. I would just like to have the added safety of the dual master cylinder just in case of a wheel cylinder, brake line or MC failure.

Thanks,
Dennis

Just want to say Hi and say thank you for all the valuable information that allowed me to put my September 2012 Packard purchase back on the road.

I have always wanted a Packard in my youth and finally I have been able to get one. Thanks to this website's library and information from the forum, I was able to do the necessary work myself and have been enjoying the Packard every since.

I am sure that I will have many questions as I continue to restore the car. My plan was to turn it into a street rod but after working on the car and driving it, I have decided to leave it original.

I have entered the car's information into the Owner Registry. I look forward to making some new friends as there are not many Packard owners in my area.

Thanks again,
Dennis
