dwightrh in response to plastic ducts for my 1953 a/c Packard.
I have found that they were an option available from the Kansas City Zone Office on April 20,1954 it is listed on The Robert H. Aller cd vol. 2 $12.00 net $20.00 retail. hope this info resolves the question as to it being a Packard or after market item. lots of good info on these c/d Charlie charlieshot ?

I am not sure. the machine shop did not give details as to where it was cracked, need to follow up with them and maybe like yours it can be fixed

thank you Howard
the head I have had .007 shaved off to clean high and low spots, before I found the cracked block. would that be to much to use on the new engine?? Charlie

Hello Packard experts.
will a 1954 359ci engine easily replace a 1953 inline 8 327 9 bearing engine. are the engine mounts the same, and the trans bell housing the same, also the intake and exhaust manifolds compatible. my engine has crack in the block and looking to replace it. thanks for all your ideas and info Charlie

hello fellow Packard people
I am trying to remove the head from my 1953 patrician with little luck. all the nuts are off, and 7 of the studs came out with the nuts. I tried cranking the engine with the plugs in, but not enough compression to pop the head. will it be ok to use a chisel to wedge between the block and head or will this cause great damage. don't want to cause more work. any thoughts are helpful and appreciated.. Charlie
