I would figure the painted chrome minor, compared to some of the Packard cars we've seen "hatchet-ed" on here.

Looks a lot like the air cleaner on my 4 bbl 1956 Pontiac.

Run into these sorts of "projects" on Craigslist all the time..... Usually taking something worthwhile and turning it into parts at best....

It is an 8, Bryan, apparently the fellow that owns it doesn't know himself, he said it was a 6. But upon closer examination of the picture it is an 8 (282).

That is odd, I just e-mailed the seller and he says it is a six cylinder.....??? Said doesn't know the condition of the engine.
Where would one ever find a compressor for one of these?? They looked about like a refrigerator compressor from back in the day.

I always thought the 6's seemed like they would be underpowered at only 105hp, but then the rear axle ratio was fairly high. Probably wasn't real fast unless it was equipped with overdrive.

Counting the plug wires it looks to be a 6 cylinder.... Wouldn't mind having it if I had the space and time to work on it.

Hopefully when Steve picks this one up maybe we'll get some better close up pictures of the AC components.
