Can someone tell me the correct color for the 1934 Packard fuel tank? Should it be zinc colored or black? Thank you!

Can anyone tell me if the '53 Caribbeans had a hood insulation pad?? I've had several '53 Caribbean owners tell me they did & some say they did not! With the hood scoop it seems it would be possible they did not! But one owner tells me he has a very low mileage '53 and it has remnants of insulation! Also I see some with a black vinyl type pad but some say it was yellow insulation????? What is the consensus of the owners & experts here on the forum?? Thank you

Packman34&53
Can anyone tell me if the '53 Caribbean top boot & top all have the same snaps at the rear of the car & the rear quarters? The 6 that were on my car on the quarters behind the 1/4 windows were lift the dot type snaps but the top had been replaced sometime during its history! If they are regular snaps are sheet metal type screws used in all locations? Thank you!!

Does anyone have a picture & or dimensions for a '53 Caribbean top boot bag?? From what I understand it would have been made from the vinyl used for seat trim not the leather used for the seat cushions! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Anyone have any experience with replacement convertible top manufacturers! I'm putting one on a '53 Caribbean! I know there are several! Electron & Robbins just to name a couple! Which ones would my fellow Packard collectors recommend?

'53,'54 convertible glass adjustments

Can anyone tell me if the rear qtr glass on a 53 convertible should be slightly higher than the door glass? I have adjusted the door & latch, the door window regulator bolts, door glass stops & rear qtr glass stops. There is a slight bevel on the rear qtr glass, so should the door glass come up even with the bevel or up to the higher part of the qtr top frame? All parts are new, cylinders, glass, hyd pump rebuilt & everything seems to be working great! If I adjust the two door glass regulator bolts the top of the door glass protrudes too high above the door when the window is down! Any advice as to something I'm missing & or pictures would be great!! Thanks

Packman34&53
Can anyone tell me what type pin or bolt goes through the top cylinder yoke that holds the rear arms in the yoke as mine were missing?? Would it be the same type pins that hold the side rails & other arms on the side rails with cotter pins? One picture I was looking at seemed to be a bolt but I don't know if that is correct?? Thank you!!
