The rear lower trim is always beat up on v8 models. If you can find decent ones they are worth the price!

Two questions:
What is the best resource for determining correct paint color and metal finishes for under hood restorations. I understand the Studebaker museum in South Bend can lookup build dates and manifests from Vin numbers. Is this the only place? My car is a low mile car but the engine compartment has been neglected and painted non-original in some areas. Thank you in advance

Hello,
I have been offered a 56 Clipper Super with 38k miles. The car has one spot of rust starting to show in front of the pass rear wheel rocker. The rest of the car is remarkably rust free and 100% original. The car runs but sat for the last three years so, basic maintenance will be needed. What price range are these selling for? What should I be looking for besides the proper function of the push button trans. Thanks Chuck
