What Hood Ornament is seen on the 1933 Macauley Speedster ?

Does anyone have an idea what hood ornament appears in the photo of the 1933 Packard Macauley speedster as seen in the "Making of Modern Michigan" archives?

When I look at the photographs of the car the hood ornament appears to be attached to the radiator cap, has a low profile, and stretches out over the front of the radiator grille. It was suggested to me that this was the LeBaron hood ornament but the "ring of fire" ornament is much shorter in length than this one appears to be. To my eyes it looks like a rabbit leaping from the radiator cap, but the images aren't clear enough to be sure.

Perhaps this is a one-off ornament used only on this Packard? Does anyone have a better photograph of this car and the hood ornament?

The Making of Modern Michigan

Inscribed on photo back: Packard MaCauley speedster, note alterations on 1933 version: full front fenders; high peaked crowns, full deading, skirts, pontoon rear fenders; high peaked crowns, beading around wheel openings, "Packard Twelve" hub caps, twin tail lights with vee lenses; tops of rims repeat Packard radiator shape theme, shortened rear bumper to fit within pontoon ends; slightly veed, plain dash replaces engine turned dash of 1932 version, 1934 type instrument panel; radio heat at top center, brake sector.

P.S. I don't know if this has been discussed previously on this forum (I searched but didn't find a discussion) so I apologize if this has been discussed at length.

Thanks for the information, this is most helpful. I will get a copy of the Packard Eight Parts List and start studying it.

The view of the brake pedal return spring from the engine compartment of the 1100 sedan. It is stretched and applying force to the brake pedal.

Attaching two photos from the underside of the car. One shows (what I believe) is the mounting point for the brake pedal return spring. The other shows where the spring attaches to the brake pedal (I think).

1934 1100 - brake pedal return issue

I have a 1934 Packard 1100 5 passenger sedan that won't return the brake pedal the last bit of travel. It stops before returning just the last 1/4 to 1/2 inch. This means that the brake lights stay on. But I can reach down with my hand and pull the pedal back and it moves the last 1/2 inch easily and the brake lights go out again.

Recently I had a local Packard specialist go through all four brakes, front and rear. He disassembled them, checked that things moved easily, reassembled them, and then he adjusted the clearance between the shoes and the drums so the car brakes evenly and doesn't pull.

Any suggestions on what to do next? I'm taking the car back to him to check the brakes and the brake cables again. He is going to re-grease the pivot points. What else can we check?

Removing 1934 Packard interior window moulding
#16

I want to remove the interior window moulding from my 11th series sedan. According to the Service Letters VOL. 7 No. 19 (dated October 1, 1933) I am to "tap downward on the moulding for several inches from each corner. Then in the same position on the upper side, tap the moulding rather sharply." Then I use a special Packard tool to pull the bottom of the moulding towards me. (note: I have attached a copy of the related Service Letter as a JPG image)

Does anyone have any advice on how they were able to remove the window moulding from their closed car? There are no screws to remove, just hidden spring loaded fasteners.

The same service letter notes that I will need to purchase tool number ST-922 (List $3.75) from Packard to help facilitate the removal of the moulding. Does anyone have advice on re-creating this tool? Does anyone have a blueprint of this tool available?
