Re: 47 Ignition part numbers for NAPA

Flackmaster, thanks for the offer, but I was just trying to find good part numbers to use since a lot of times parts can be inter changed on cars.
Not sure how to update X-Ref for the parts, maybe I'll give it a try in a few days.
As always thanks to all.

Here's also a link to NAPA parts book for cross reference.

47 Ignition part numbers for NAPA

I just got back from NAPA and got a new Cap, Rotor, Points and Condenser. Part number for Cap RR100, Rotor RR99, Points CS777A and Condenser RR174.
This all for a Delco Remy Distributor part number 1110825, I'm not sure what the last numbers and letter mean 0M20. All the parts look like a good match.
The Vacuum Advance had a number of 1116060 but I can't find a cross reference for it.

Yes Howard, it looks like somebody put the wrong vacuum controller in the box with the rest of the spare parts I got with the car. I'll have to look around a little more and see if I might have the correct unit but I don't think so. It looks like they might have been going off the Parts book and that has pictures of a vacuum controller of a 1942 if I'm reading the Parts book correct. Also the mounting holes don't line-up. So, so much for that project. Or if there is someone that has pull one off and doesn't need it any more I sure could use it. (Hint, Hint, out in Packard land).
So Thanks again Howard and the rest of you for your time.

Well it sounds like a fun time piecing it together. Here are some more parts that I found and looks like I am missing a couple of pipes. If anyone has an spare parts please let me know.
Thanks all!

Howard, I did what you did and added a bracket for a throttle return spring. But I was looking at this other picture from a 47 Super Clipper (not Custom) and it does have that spring and I was told that this engine did not have any work done on it and it was all orginal. So if I ever get a chance I'll have to take another look at that other engine.

47 Electromatic Clutch Linkages

Hi All, I'm looking for good drawings for the Throttle Linkage and or parts breakdown for the Electromatic Clutch, mine was removed and I would like to try and reinstall it. If anything just for looks. I have copies of the parts breakdown from the Parts Manual but it's not very clear. I also have a copy of the Serviceman's Training Booklet for the Electromatic Clutch and it is better quality than the Parts Breakdown, but I can always use more information. Also after this I plan on looking into the linkage to the clutch since all of that was remove also, but one step at a time.
So any help on the linkage going to the carburetor.
Thanks!
Wes

Don't use Tap and Die to clean threads, get Thread Chaser kit. See article below it comes from The Bulletin Mechanic July 2007. And as far as the break in oil I would do a little research on the internet.

Thanks for doing it (Coloring the wiring), I guess we need to pass it on to Big Kev.
