Joel's spot on - It's a 400 with Caribbean trim fitted. And that's not such a bad thing.

I am not an expert, but I believe there are 16" 110 wheels and different 16" 160/180 wheels. Henney's as you say are a mix of Junior and Senior parts. Smarter people will take it from here

this direction always seems to bring to mind the post war Jaguar sedan

GM and Ford combined still have about 45% of the North American market. I think it would not be reviewed kindly from an anti-trust angle.

Why would Ford want to do it? Let's invite cousin Jimmie to live with us - he eats a lot and doesn't work.

you don't need to get custom milled flake , IMO, if you select the finer grades of flake currently available. I agree the coarse flakes look totally inappropriate

on the aftermarket ones, the hinges are visible from the side. The factory visor curves and fastens to the drip rail

thanks for the 101
1) bell housing - I understand (although I don't know enough to know which qualify)
2)OD -wouldn't that be almost anything in the last 15 - 20 years or more?
3)Hmm. so an old 4spd because of cost? Wouldn't a modern 7- or 8-speed out of a wreck be worth it, especialy given the more limited engine rpm range of an older engine?

again, please be indulgent, I am a "stock" guy trying to pick up some education. My impression of most GM componentry of recent decades is that it was designed primarily to a price point - the quip for this era on GM is "The Mock of Excellence."

please excuse the very ignorant question, I'm trying to learn.

Why would you look to a truck tranny? RWD car transmissions use much more advanced technology, and handle plenty of torque. Getrag 7 speed or 300 Hemi's, etc.

I'm not a fan of swaps, but if you are leaving original, why not go to current instead of trailing edge? (One of many reasons carburated SBC's make no sense to me)

I do not believe individual policemen join up because they want to be tax collectors. They have higher motives.

But if the city is misusing them that way, lay them all off.
Fund that library and read about taxation without representation. People making an involuntary contribution to the city finances have not had their safety enhanced, just their wallet lightened.

And actually I once did get a parking ticket in a 41 Plymouth (it would have been hard to get a speeding ticket in that car)
