Eric,

I looked at my '63 R2 Avanti and the crank pulley looks to be 7.5" (hard to get an accurate measurement as it is really tight against the shroud). Check with some of the Stude Paxton guys like Ted Harbit or John Erb...there are high output pulley options for the Paxton, but be careful how fast you spin the blower, they do have a limit!

Touring Sedan, Custom Su8 2206-2252

2252 should be the first 4 numbers on the VIN plate, indicating a 22nd series sedan (1948 model year).

?The statement in my first post stating that the car on display was actualy a 1937,was designed to get the AACA attension, to get them to correct the mistakes they made on thier dislay sign.?

?my intensional mistake about the the Convertible Sedan only being offered only one year?

Well actually, there weren't any mistakes on the AACA Museum Display Card ?..it was made that way intentionally to get the attention of the museum visitors?I would say it worked!
I also have a bridge for sale??..any buyers?

The last picture posted is a side view of the Packard to proof that it is a 1937 as I have stated.

It sure looks like a 1936 to me.

Maybe those tricky devils at the AACA museum made a counterfiet VIN plate just to fool the ?experts? who know it is a 1937?

Right Kev, CSAA is California State Automobile Association (the AAA affiliate in Northern CA). I found that the Auto Club discount at NAPA is better than the ?wholesale? pricing I got thru my local machine shop. Just be sure to show your card before the counter person rings up the sale!

Hello BigKev & thanks for the wonderful website.

NAPA carries a good selection of Jiffy Kits (the one you need may be a special order). Also, if you have a CSAA membership you get a good discount?.show them your card before they ring up the purchase.

John
