Re: 1937 Front License Plate

Thanks to all. That was my original impression based on sheer logic. That told be that the license should be more visible to oncoming traffic, especially law enforcement. But, my logic has been faulty before, so I do greatly thank all of you for your input.

1937 Front License Plate

I've looked at a number of photos but still cannot verify on which side the front license plate goes. Is it the driver's side, or the passenger's side. The few photos I've seen have it on the driver's side, which does make sense to me. I didn't take photos of the front bumper brackets when I removed them to show where the mounting bolts go for the license plate bracket, so I'm guessing here and since I am guessing, I'm coming to those who know a lot more about this than I.
Thanks.

'37 Dashboard Color

I have been told that the '37 120 dashboard area from the front window all around and down to the bottom was a very, very, very deep brown color regardless of the actual body color. Can anyone verify this or is this false?
Thanks.

My thanks to both of you. Tomorrow I shall take this information and see if I can apply it to my present condition.
Again, my thanks.

Routing of wiring harness, oil pressure line, temperature line in '37 120C

The photos that I took are not answering these questions:
1) How is the wiring harness routed from the engine compartment to the passenger compartment?
2) How is the oil pressure line routed from the engine compartment to the passenger compartment?
3) How is the temperature line routed from the engine compartment to the passenger compartment?
I'm now assembling my '37 120C touring sedan and I don'r readily see how these get into the passenger compartment. I do not see obvious places where they might come in. I have looked online without much success.
Thanks to all who might be able to provide this information.

'37 120C Touring Sedan Ceiling wood
Home away from home
Home away from home

R Howe
I did ask this a couple of years ago and did receive a response on who would have it, but did not receive any further information. I'm trying to replace the ceiling wood in my '37 120C Touring Sedan and, as everyone knows, I did not take enough pictures. Does anyone know of a source where I might be able to get drawings or schematics showing the construction? Also, when I tried to put those pieces in where I knew their location, they were about 1 1/2 " too long. Even those original pieces that I kept to match up, are now too long. Does anyone have any knowledge concerning this? They are the ones that go laterally across the top.
Thanks

Thank you, Howard. You did confirm what I thought I knew, which was as you say. I do have ti coil hooked up correctly and will go on with other items. Again, I thank you.

1937 120 Coil Question
Home away from home
Home away from home

R Howe
I am having trouble getting my engine to run again after I had to undo quite a bit of it a few months ago. I am using an after market 6V coil and I do believe I have it connected correctly according to the wiring schematic that I have. I would like to have any of you verify on the NOS coils where the ignition cable attaches to the back side, whether that side is the battery (negative) side or the ground (positive) side. Or alternatively which side is the wire that goes to the distributer. Either positive or negative. Either will do. Thanks.

1937 120 door weatherstrip
Home away from home
Home away from home

R Howe
Hello. Does anyone have any ideas on how to install the door weatherstrip in a 120C Touring Sedan? The weatherstrip is formed so that there is a tab that goes into a slot on the door. I can get it to slide into this tab for a little ways, but then friction takes hold and I cannot get it to move any further, even when lubricating the weatherstrip. I have tried inserting one side of the tab and then using a dull instrument, namely a screwdriver, to try to get the tab to go into the other side of the slot. Frankly, I am out of ideas and I was hoping that some of you might have done this before and have the technique. YouTube has not been much help, either. Thanks to all for any information that you might be able to impart.
