Owen_Dyneto,

Thanks for the response.

The car is titled as a '31 Packard and it is identified as 338250.

The engine number was all I could come up with as to why that number is on the title.

Maybe it is an assigned number to comply with current title requirements??

I am trying to track an engine number.

It is supposedly a '31 std 8.

338250

Based on my research that number is too high. Am I missing something?

West,

Thank you again. My research seemed to indicate that but I just wanted to be sure.

Do the '31 Standard 8 gauges fit other years?

Thanks

I have been looking at 833's and I see some have louvers and some have doors in the hood sides.

Which is correct? If either, what determines which one would be on a car?

Does anyone have a legible photo of the ink stampings on a '38 data plate. I had one somewhere but can't seem to find it.

Thanks in advance.

Ken,

I have a friend in the Pierce club that is from Coeur d'Alene and he gave us some travel tips, also.

It was beautiful but cold (low 50's) and rainy.

Got back to Atlanta to 90/90 (degrees/humidity) Fireworks from the air were spectacular coming into Atlanta at 9-9:30.
