Possible Scammer
Home away from home
Home away from home

Packard Don
I believe there is a scammer on PackardInfo so be wary. They just signed up today, then referred me to someone for an expensive part that I’m looking for. Their user name is JEAN88 but their display name is JAEN88 or something like that.

In texting their referral, lots of red flags such as trying and failing to get their name (then finally only a first name) and some information on what the project is that they said they need the money for. All very suspicious which is why I looked at the original PM’s sender and saw that they had only just joined.

You didn’t say if it was a senior or a junior Henney. I don’t know for sure on the junior models but on the senior coaches, all had the overdrive transmission installed but not connected if not ordered. If ordered, they got the 4.7 ratio rear end but if not, there was a different ratio (4.1 I believe but not sure) that wasn’t nearly as zippy.

James doesn’t often read these threads so perhaps better to PM him if you need an answer quickly.

Not all PDF viewers can handle 3D documents. Adobe Reader can but the reader in iOS and others cannot. I run Linux so can’t view them easily on my PC either without a 3rd party application.

Probably search engine spiders but could also be nefarious characters too.

WTB Federal WLR Siren For 1951-1954 Henney
Home away from home
Home away from home

Packard Don
I’ve posted everywhere else including various Facebook groups, the Professional Car Society of which I am a member and contacted all those who have or have had Henney parts (including the more generic Packard parts dealers). EBay too but so far the search has been unsuccessful. I am not really looking for referrals or suggestions of who might have one as am hoping someone here has a spare.

I need a Federal WLR light/siren combination for my 1951 Henney-Packard military ambulance. The same siren was used on civilian ambulances too but with a different base and that type is acceptable too. I prefer complete, intact and restorable without actually having been restored to match the patina (using the term loosely!) of my car. By any chance, does anyone here have a spare from a parts car or left over from a project?

You have to upload photos one at a time. Choose File, then press Upload for each. After Choose File on the last your no need to press Upload as Submit should do the trick. Once you’ve posted, you have a few days to go back and edit and/or add more photos too but actual photos are preferred over uncropped screen captures.

I see that I managed to post something at 0 o’clock!

Very nice and I’m a bit jealous as my first Packard (in the ‘60s) was a 1939 but never looked that good! Good work and the Packard looks great. Looking forward to more installments.

Obviously be sure to ask for samples before committing to an expensive kit! Roadworksauto’s site make me a bit uncomfortable for some reason.
