Isn’t this why we digitized and OCRed the Factory Parts List? The 1948-1954 has been fully proofed line by line but it’s not yet been put online with the corrections but even so it is a very handy tool that is already searchable. The corrected data is on my site too in a format which emulates the printed book.

Yes, you said that after you edited your post but you said the opposite before I posted.

These should be easy to find as most 1951-1956 Packards and Clippers used the same one. In fact, I have quite a few spares but they are in my Oregon shop and I'm not there but one of the fine parts sources here should be able to help.

The photo is 1956 and, while I can't speak for 1955, my 1956 Clipper had the lower body color (Tangier Red) on the wheels. Yes, it had been repainted once but in gray and the wheels were red under it.

An impart wrench, especially a rechargeable one, is probably not sufficient to break the drum free. The end of the puller also needs a sharp rap or two with a large steel mallet between tightening and once enough force is put onto it, it should pop off. The puller should have a hammer-type device on it too where radial force can be supplied using the mallet that will far exceed anything that any impact wrench can do. I've never had one of these not come off easily and with little effort when doing it properly.

I put an NOS Trico electric pump into my 1953 Clipper and the wipers would run even without the engine running. The pump itself ran only when needed.

Looking for the speedometer drive gear part number 412444 which fits certain 2222; 2313; 2413; 2513; 2623-2626-33; 5413-5426-33 transmissions. On the Henneys, it fits those with the 4.7 ratio rear end. It's a 19-tooth gear. Anybody have one?

The clutch is finally done and waiting for my arrival at the next shop visit! It ended up getting sent to Sacramento, CA for the work rather than to the closer Portland, OR place because they apparently no longer do clutches.

Welcome to Packarding and to this site! I can’t help you with the specific problem but on your 1955, please note that is (or should be) positive ground so any electrical devices you might connect need to either match or be polarity insensitive.

For the pump, many seem keen on replacing the original with a kit that allows an Olds pump to be installed and that may have Ben done on yours but you can also obtain have an original pump professionally rebuilt to do the job as-designed. That would be my preference.
