Owen,

Thanks to you and anonymous for the reply. Are there any photos of the car with the broken windshield?

I searched this website, and did not find any. I do remember seeing a photo of someone, maybe Dick Teague, standing next to it, with all the dirt still on it, but the windshield was fixed. Maybe a Cormorat story or picture I am remembering.

It does say on the car front fender "the Packard", on the door "25000 mile car"' on the rear fender it is harder to read "?? Speed of 84 miles?"

Does anonymous say what happened to the car?

I also remember seeing some film/ now video of the actual event. I think it was on the History channel, called test tracks?

Randy,

Maybe they were 55 only accessories?

The Clipper is interesting that it has black tires, and no fender skirts.

Some where I remember seeing or hearing that the 25,000 mile car was sent out to the dealers for these events. Mabe that came with the show chassis?

This photo caught my eye.

Yes, the girls in the Caribbean is a good start!

What is on the top of the second one? A speaker?
It says the 25,000 mile car. Is that the car?

The Clipper is next, followed by a trailer with a show chassis. Would the Clipper have a trailer hitch on it?

Henry,
Looking good.

Look at the factory A/C install pictures and see the different hose clamps that we're used! Look at pictures marked F3, 6, 7, 8, 13, and 64.

Henry,

Regarding the hose clamp.
Look at the factory A/C install book found on this site. Look at the pictures for some help; f5, f8, f13 & f57. F64 is in the service manual under A/C.

I wonder if the Studebaker National Museum has the blue prints on these?

Would be interesting to see what notes, or changes are mentioned on the blueprints.

HH,
Is 100 psi what the pressure in the system on the car? Would the pressure be the same for all brake systems?

Found this so far;

Is there a way to test the stop light switch without it being on the car?

Was there a tester of sorts, "back in the day"?

Hello Phil,
I will give you a suggestion on your TL. Last weekend, I went with another Packards North Texas member to help with another members 56 Caribbean TL.

He was going to replace one thing and another. It turned out that the wires were not on the right terminals on the stop light switch!
