I understood that 1939 was the last year of the R6 but I could be mistaken.

So it would be 1940 through 1949 22nd series? Somebody in another thread was looking for one just a day or two ago.

The parts book does show two different latches and I likely have both somewhere. Whether I can locate them before leaving tomorrow is another story but when I go out today, I'll take a look.

I realize that this is showing the piece in the lid rather than that on the body but it simply references that there was a change. Odd, though, that part number 435646 that is referenced in the description does not appear to be in the parts book! I wonder if the latch for the 25th series has a typo?

Looks like it but, as I pointed out when this was posted before, the hood ornament's wings are on upside down.

Interesting and rather clean looking design! Since negative/positive ground is not an automatic thing, will it have protection if set one way and accidentally connected the other?

On the unlined ground symbols, I take it to mean that they are common rather than ground. Is that so? You said that but I just wanted to be clear.

I am trying to get a tailpipe shipped cross country and it weighs only 8 lbs but Fastenal won’t take it for two reasons. One is that at 127” it’s too long and the other is that there is some vertical line up the middle of the country that they do not cross and the part is on the other side. Also too long for Greyhound and, with fuel costs, the cheapest truck quote was over $700 and went up to over $1200.
