I think many have recommend Type-F.
We really need to put together a Recommended Modern fluid FAQ which list a couple of options for Tranny and Engine oils as well as gear, diff, steering box and other fluids. I know there will always be a few that recommend something different, but I think a general set of recommendation would do well to help folks out. Kind of a FAQ that list perhaps 2 or 3 different recommended engine oils and when to use each one. Non-rebuilt original motor use this one, fresh rebuild use this one, etc. Just brain storming here.

Thanks to those Gentlemen that donated funds to help offset the out of pocket expenses that occur from hosting and running the website. It is most appreciated!
With as large as the website has grown I know that sometimes people forget and new folks may not realize that there is not a business or club behind the scenes funding everything, and with the exception of the unsolicited donations I receive, I fund the nearly $1,000 of expenses (dedicated hosting, domain, software licensing, support fees, etc) a year out of my personal pocket as my way of giving back to the hobby. So a special thanks! Also thanks to everyone that have contributed content to the website, and helps out here in the forums when folks have questions and need advice. That in itself is priceless.

That's the problem. It is already titled as an antique. In Pa, you can transfer an existing antique plate if owner signs a release form and send 4 color pics of car and $75. In my case, release form is not an option and car wouldn't have passed visual inspection then. I'm going to try applying for a new antique plate as that seems my only option. These are the pics I'll send. If they don't pass, then it'll have to wait until more work is done. Typically, I get regular title and plate for a couple years until everything is up to par then go antique. That way I can drive it a bit more often.

You know the demographics on these cars.
You're right. Guess there will always be a stretch limo market & someone needs to fill it. Police cars seem to be going the Dodge route here, taxi cabs seem to be going the minivan direction and so on--but guess the Crown Vic still has a following too. Interesting bit also hit the news about the Taurus being back. IIRC, that car was to be essentially one introduced a couple of years ago under another name which apparently didn't sell all that well. Do hope that it has more going for it this time around other than an established name.

Ford looked at discontinuing EN114 platform a while ago and decided to keep it on even though it was lower volume because it could be profitable so long as investment was minimized. You know the demographics on these cars. There were some suspension upgrades a while back but no big changes.

Does the rod actually operate the second blades proportionally or just free them to open? Wondering how the MKS operation compares to the auxiliary velocity blades as used in the 56 version Rochester 4GC Packard used. That carb had the 4 regular throttle blades operated by linkage but also the extra pair in the secondaries which opened against spring pressure depending on air flow.
