Kevin,
Thanks Rolled into work about 5:45am. First time I have been out with it when it was still dark or at night. The Led headlight bulbs I installed in 2017 lite up the road nicely.

@1929PackardGuy,
I went with LED bulbs for some of the bulbs on my car. Made purchases from these places Headlight bulbs. These bulbs made a big improvement in lighting output. http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/ Accessory/dash, Fender Mounted lights and Tail Light bulbs. https://www.ledlight.com/

Mal,
Thanks. It sure feels good to get it out again. Last few years I was taking care of my stepfather. He passed away last November after a long battle of infections from a botched knee replacement he had done years ago. He is not suffering anymore and I am sure he is holding hands with my mother (she passed away at the young age of 49 in 1993) once again. I sure will try be more active here now. As we know how it goes to keep our beloved Packards running. There is always a need for the good sound advice here.

Update
I purchased a new/rebuilt fuel pump and rebuild kit for the pump I have from Max Merritt. I will rebuild the pump I have and keep it on the shelf as a back up. Tire tube arrived yesterday and I installed it today. Also got the new fuel pump install. The Packard is purring once again

Hi Kevin,
Thanks. I have called and left Bill a message with with my needs. Seems logistics on parts today are long lead times. Was hoping and looking forward to taking the Packard to a fundraiser car show for a Humane Society this Sunday but will have the take the GTO instead.

Tube ordered from Lucas Classic tire. I needed a tube with metal stem the only type they have in stock was with rubber stem.
All other tire company's I checked with had no tubes available in the size I needed. No eta from any company when the metal stem tubes will be available. Still waiting for replies on a rebuild kit for the fuel pump.

Hello my Packard friends,
It has been a few years since I have had the Packard out of the garage. So this week I took off of work to get it out of its slumber. Had to fill all tires since they where flat. Removed the fuel pump and found it was all corroded inside. Cleaned it out and put back together and reinstalled it. It took some cranking to finally get it to start. It ran pretty good giving that sat for almost 5 years. Took it out for a test run around the neighborhood. About a 5 mile ride or so. Took it out again today and did a 45 mile run. While pulling back onto the home stretch a few house away this happened. Left rear tire went flat. Pulled the tire and found that the stem is leaking right at the point where it is glued to the tube. Can the tube be repaired or I am best to just purchase a new tube? Should I be concerned about this happening to the other tires? Onto another issue the fuel pump. Once I got the Packard back into the garage and left it running just to check things out under the hood and wouldn't you know it the fuel pump is leaking. Thank goodness it didn't catch fire while I was out on my drive. Does anyone know where I could purchase a rebuild kit for the fuel pump? Thanks Tom
