You're quite right, but I doubt the original was natural rubber because its poor weathering was well known by then. It was most likely EPDM, which would be fine today or one could use an appropriate polyurethane or vinyl.

Machining elastomers is not easy - that guy must have a very sharp CNC.

guilty of fueling the digression, and with "snappiest" being a bit vague, consider the 1940 160 business coupe (yes, 127" wb but power/weight) and the Speedster series in their day.

Packard never really made small cars so their agility was never tops - your choices indicate this is big in "snappiest" (and I agree).

looks like they've done the floor mat (50 is the same) and the step plates!! I think they are actually in BC, but have a US shipping point. Looks good.

Fish'n'Jim, was this the other part you were talking about?

I think for this one you could get a silicone mold off an original or possibly build a core via 3D printing from which to pull a mold cavity.

Here's an original 22nd series. It was molded, not cut from extruded matting, as the textured border around the ribbing shows.

Who bought the inventory of Northwest Auto Supply in Grand Rapids MI when they recently closed? They had a wall cabinet of bins of bumper bolts.

I believe there were 4 interior colors, all in the same pattern: tan, dark blue, dark red, and dark green, all with cream piping. I do not believe the fabric is reproduced currently. The condition of the interior is important as the original is very plush and attractive.

on the AACA forum "not mine cars for sale" there are 2 hardtops and a sedan for sale. It will give info on asking prices which is not selling prices.

the 49 club sedan is beautifully done, but the Packard houndstooth cloth is three shades of tan/brown, no maroon in it
