The handles are pinned on, there should be a small hole in the stub of the shaft sticking out of the door panel. When you push back the plastic cover you should see the pin, it can be easily punched out and reinstalled.

Headliner looks good, now looking at that I think getting the job done professionally is the way to go. Looks like early spring and some saving up to get the job done. Your Clipper and description of your work and posts from other members have save me many dollars and many hours of work. I hope I can help others on the site in the future.

Peter, I live close to that spot and have been there several times. I want head over before winter to check out the Kaiser and 2 Packards he has. He has several hundred cars stored inside and outside, with all levels of condition.
Rocky, I had a 56 Chevy and in high school and drove the wheels off of it for several years. Coincidently the Route 66 dealer has one exactly like the one I had. Another reason to get over to the location soon.

A 54 KAISER MANHATTAN,a very unique car. I would trade for one if the opportunity ever came around. Of course I would not pay extra over the value of my 54 Clipper.

I removed the governor from my Ultrmatic and cleaned it up, per instructions from Ross. I never thought I would get it out, it took me several hours under the car. It was reinstalled in less than an hour. I knew it had to be done so I kept at it until it was. Now onto the instrument cluster. Thanks.
