What do you mean by driver's side front vent? the hood vent or the door window vent?

You might check the web site.

It is a great database of early Packards.

Herman Van Os ( March 18, 1927 to October 5, 2022)

With great sadness I relay the news that longtime member of PAC and CCCA , Herman Van Os, quietly passed away at home surrounded by family on October 5, 2022. For many years he drove his 1938 Packard Super Eight 2/4 Convertible Coupe from Shreveport, LA to the Spring PAC meet in Salado, Texas and on many CCCA Caravans. He had owned it for over 50 years when he finally passed the pleasure of ownership to another.

He will be sorely missed.

While we are on the topic of identifying radiators....
Can anyone tell me about this one.
It is NOS..still with the Packard Label (but badly deteriorated).

It is looking for a new home.

The Parts book spells out the "Bulk Stock No. on Cable' and the length of the various cables, but does not spell out a specific gauge.
Various places I have seen 1/0 for 6volt systems.
Is there actual documentation that I have not found?

Did anyone note the hammer of the 526 roadster #344 and the '32 Twin-Six #663?

I saw the '47 Custom Super Clipper went for $20k and the'37 Twelve Formal sedan went for $120.

Did you ever get the upper floor board and the fender supports?

NOS 23rd? Series 1949-50 Front fender trim #413234?

This RARE (it still has most of the original brown paper on it) trim piece that I BELIEVE fits the 23rd Senior Series.
One end is open. It would be covered by the spear; the other end is tapered for the door.
I think years ago I compared it to the piece on a car at Salado.
$50 + shipping in a PVC tube

OK..Here is the skivvy..

The Receiver has two wires ...power and antenna.
The control head has two wires. The one on the top of the unit goes to the receiver and provides power.
The one on the bottom goes to a toggle switch in the right glove box (which is a secure control of the power.)

The power path is this:
Power from the amp meter to an SFE 20A fuse holder.
From the fuse holder to the toggle switch.
From the toggle switch to the top of the control unit.
From the bottom of the control unit to the receiver box.
