1928 hood lace attachment query
#51

Can anyone tell me the width of the hood lace and how attached to the body and radiator shell? I believe it is the 7/8 wide double ridge lace but I do not know if rivets were split or solid for the installation.

I would also like to know the material of the rivets used to attach the hood latch bases to the frame trim. Mine are not magnetic but could they be aluminum or stainless?

They not only replaced the rear casting they had to straighten and re-print a mangled gage plate.

Could I ask for a photo of the outside of the battery box with the electrical disconnect showing. I would like to see how it looks from the exterior side. Did you place it in the wheel well or the aft side of the box?

Wood frame joint diagrams for 1928 526

A couple of years ago I came across a publication showing the wood frame joints and joinery breakdown. I printed it out but now cannot find it. It showed each of the major joints in the wood framing, the metal brackets and a diagram of the joinery. Can anyone point me to this publication?

I have started the reconstruction of the wooden body parts starting with the 2 lower chassis stringers. Lots of work with no drawings.

Can anyone tell me the sizes of the bumper bolts for late '20s front and rear bumpers. Also were the bumper bow ties nickled or painted black?
Anyone have a source for bumper bolts and the bumper diamonds?

Anyone know where I can obtain the diamonds that go on the front and rear bumpers? Repop or original, I don't care. I have some but they are in poor shape and need to be re-nickled.
