Jim's Packard is a '10'! She looks like she was built a year or so ago...Who ever purchases her is going to get a lovely machine...Ernie in Arizona

Good Morning all...Actually the 1942 does not look all that bad for being outside in the weeds. The interior is clean and the paint is passable...I wonder if this Packard was cleaned up in the 1950's or 1960's and then loved for quite a while and now is the odd girl out? I think she needs a new boyfriend and a new garage. If she was cleaned up years ago, her running gear may well be functional...she reminds me of how our 1949 was when she came to us....Ernie in Arzina

Good Morning all...Someone has a real sense of humor! It is sort of like a DC-3 that was a restaurant for years and then it went out of business and the fuselage was returned to the air with a bunch of old DC-3 parts. Don't quite know why the Packard Yacht made me remember the DC-3 but then I don't always understand how my mind works at 72! Ernie in Arizona

Wow, I went to school in El Cajon many years ago and delivered the El Cajon Valley News as a paper boy. Had not seen that name in years. Ernie in Arizona

Good afternoon all...I am wondering if the plastic distributor body is cracked or distorted such that there is no power going to 7 and 8, or if the two plug wires are not conducting...Ernie in Arizona

Good afternoon...Since you were able to get the old girl started at DQ and you fiddled with the ignition switch (key switch) I am wondering if a loose wire on the back of it or that the switch is worn out. Perhaps something to check as part of the problem...Ernie in Arizona
