Checked the Parts X-Ref and don't see any rear wheel bearings and seals listed for 1951.

Anyone have a good source?

Looked on the Parts X-Ref and don't see any listed for 1951. Are they the same as the '54 Big Kev listed?

If not where is a good source for 1951 rear brake shoes and linings?

Well I checked the fuel pump pressure and that was up to spec. But I believe I found the problem, there were some tiny rust particles that were stuck in the metering rod. So that was sticking. Re-cleaned the carb and now it is running fine again. I found the filter was not set tightly in the bowl, so there is some crap getting into the carb. Looks like I have some new rust forming in the tank. Going to have to drop it and coat the inside this time.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

The fuel bowl is full when it dies. All of the electrical components are original, so it could very well be a gremlin in there. I've been kind of expecting something like that to happen sooner or later.

The tank was cleaned out last year when I cleaned the carb, and it has a new fuel filter.

The problem happens at idle and at high RPMs.

Took the '51 200 out last weekend. Started to run rough (sputter/stall). Then it just quit. Now I can re-start it, but it will only run about 10-15 seconds, then quit again. It doesn't matter if it idles, or if I rev it.

Took the carb apart last year, cleaned it and installed a new carb kit. It has been running fine up until now.

Thinking it may be the fuel pump, just filling the bowl then quitting. Or maybe the electric choke is malfunctioning. Vacuum problem?

Any ideas?

I don't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member - Groucho Marx.

Seriously, been thinking about joining the Wisconsin club, just haven't got around to it. No other reason than procrastination.

Don't use steel wool on your chrome, it is to abrasive and will leave scuff marks in the plating.

Use copper or bronze wool, it is softer, and minimizes the swirl marks. You can find it most places with the kitchen cleaning supplies. A good multi-purpose oil like 3-In-1 works good as well.
