1938 Packard Model 6 business coupe has been converted. I have had a new fuel tank fabricated and now need to purchase a new fuel sending unit. What is absolutely the simplest solution on getting the proper replacement for the fuel sending unit. I am not a mechanic but I assume the replacement sending units online will not work since the system has been converted. Again simple as possible I know my mechanical limitations, Thanks!

That sounds like the car. Can you give me any history on the car, how long did you have it. Any info would be helpful.
Some repairs had been made, did you do any of the repairs, it is going to take me some time but I am going to get it back into a solid running car. I am starting with the fuel tank, and going to transmission next I am taking one project at a time. Do you have any paperwork or anything on the car?
Thanks

I recently bought a 1938 Packard from New Jersey, is this the car you are talking about?
