My 1950 Packard 8 is leaning to the left. the car was just in to a good body shop for paint. The owner says it is leaning becasue the left rear leaf spring is damaged. Does anyone know if anyone makes replacement leaf springs...or 2. I have found shops that can custom leaf springs but I am at a loss as to where to find the original specifications. Any help would be wonderful!

blower motor 50 Standard 8 not working

I recently acquired a bone stock 1950 Standard 8 and love it. My friends with 49 and 50 Packards tell me the blower motor is very quiet, so quiet, one may not hear it. I am pretty sure mine is not working. with the car running, when I push in the button that should activate it, my amp gauge does not move one bit, leading me to believe it is not coming on. What is the best way to test it and is there a dedicated fuse or relay for the blower motor? Thanks, as always, for your wisdom.

Ray

Hi Howard,
I have a question regarding replacing bulbs in my 1950 Packard. According to the chart you were good enough to share, I need two Mazda 82 bulbs and two Mazda 63 bulbs.

Walked into Autozone and another large chain and the kid behind the counter looked at me like I landed from Mars. Trying to explain that Mazda was not the same as the current car got me more blank looks.

Is there a chart in the event they are not made by a different company and are designated with a different number?

Thanks for any advice!

Hoping I can once again tap into your collective wisdom. Just bought a 1950 Packard 8 and it is missing a few pieces of exterior trim. One of the Packard script emblems that goes on the front fenders is missing. Also, the very small trim piece that goes on the pillar between the front and back doors is missing. Lastly, the knob and whatever hardware needed to attach it to the rear window regulator is missing. Any assistance where I may be able to locate them would be great. My 52 200 deluxe was a straight drive and this will be my first experience with the Ultramafic. fingers crossed!!!!
