Anyone know where I can find out how to take the horn button off the steering column to see the wires?

Thanks for the info. I did see the diagram in the OM and saw the horn wire does go through the left hand light switch. I looked at the OM & MM and can't see how to get the horn button off to see inside.

526 Runabout horn

So when I park the car, I disconnect the battery. My mechanic took the car to do an oil change and put the car back in the garage. I went to take it for a ride, and when I connected the battery, the horn starts blowing. The only way to stop it was to disconnect the battery.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Anyone have a relatively recent Old Car Guide that goes back to the 20's they want to sell?  Reach out to me with price.

Thanks!

Thanks, guys.

I would love to just be able to find a replacement but I doubt I will; that's why I was wondering about the repair. There are some people in my area who are car guys that might be able to help.

These two pieces hold the bumper to the car. They are some kind of metal.

So all of a sudden the gear shifter won't stay in neutral; it drops into first, but not third.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Had an issue with the front bumper and ended up snapping the front bumper bracket.

Can they be welded together?

If not, where might I find one?

Also, one of the the two metal strips that go across the front bumper may need to be replaced; are they available?

If not, what are they made of?

Thanks,

Stu

Hi,

Looking for someone who can rebuild/repair horns from this era. Having a problem with the horn on my 30 Hudson.

My mechanic can't remember; is there a dipstick on the 28 526 Runabout engine?

Thanks!
