Thank you both for the quick replies. If the repair process is really that difficult and/or cost prohibitive, that may mean the difference between buying and not buying the car.
I have sent a query to Lavine.

1939 Super 8 Dash Plastic?

Hello All,
I am looking at a '39 Super 8 in reasonably nice condition but the dash plastic has a few cracks, which I understand is quite common. Does anyone reproduce these pieces, or what other options might I consider?
Thank you, Greg

Hi There,
I am looking for some info from anyone who might have a Packard from this era.
These cars have the park lamps below the headlamps but they also have cowl lamps. Do the park lamps and cowl lamps work independent of each other, which would mean an additional switch of some sort, I suppose, or do they function together on the same switch?
Also, what was Packard's reasoning behind the extra set of lamps?
Thank you, Greg

https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/1936-packard-120-4door-sedan/6744101955.html

I want to be an informed buyer so I am attempting to garner as much information here as possible. I appreciate the wealth of knowledge I am able to tap into here. I am happy to purchase a project vehicle if the correct one comes available. I would very much like any feedback and/or opinions forum members can offer on this project.
Again, thank you for the help.
Greg

Other than the hubcaps, were the '36 120's badged anywhere with Packard emblems?

OK, Thank you.
Can you explain the difference between the Model 992 120 Touring sedan and the Model 993 120 Sedan for 1936?
Also, on the data plate I posted, is the 24664 number the car's sequence number only?

One of the cars I'm looking at has this same trunk configuration with the upper and lower. I assume the lower is for a spare tire. If a car came with side mounts did it have a different trunk configuration or did they just leave it the same?

Don 37, You seem quite knowledgeable about this model Packard, thanks for sharing the information.
A couple more questions from a novice, if you don't mind?
When did the 120 sedan lose the fabric top and go to all steel?
I am looking at a '36 120 with this data tag (see pic). Most cars I've seen have the dealer and/or delivery city stamped on the tag but this one seems pretty bare. Any idea why?
What info can be gleaned from the Vehicle Number shown?
Thanks again, Greg
