Thanks for this. I think I'd have to be able to see the nuts to remove them - I can't even see them for all the other stuff in between, including the cowl vent lever. How much stuff do I have to remove to get at them??

The switch works sometimes, but not well on cool, damp days. I think there must be a bit of corrosion on it or something.

Starter works fine when I jump the battery to the solenoid. Figure it must be the switch.

Thanks again.

Sure would be nice to see what holds that little panel in place. There's so much stuff behind it that I can't see, or even get my finger in.

Headlight bucket help please

Just got my 1940 120 out of the paint shop & one of the headlights doesn't work now. Checked the wiring under the fender & it seems ok - suspect the problem is with the connection to the sealed beam. Here's my problem - I can't get the bucket open to check it. Have removed the screw at the bottom - my theory is that the ring should just swing up, but I'm not sure. Can't get it to budge, may be stuck with paint? Tried prying gently at the bottom, no luck. Is my theory correct & I just need to pry a little harder?? Don't want to wreck the new paint job. Thanks for any advice. Iain
